Old man like me still learning about computer technology.

Just learned that I could use desktop computer to use whatsapp. Amazing indeed.

Many people asked which is the "twin" stock I am talking about in my previous post.

Here you are. Screenshot of the whatsapp conversation obtained through desktop computer.

The conversation was some time in May this year.

I must admit I did not buy that twin stock but my associates did. Not one but both the twin stocks. Congratulation to them. In fact, they made profit for most of the other stocks I told them... Gadang, RCECAP, JAKS and the recent two stocks. I am happy for them.

I have one more in my sleeve but am a bit worry it will end up become speculative play for most people instead of for long term investment because of its lowly priced at the moment. I will share about it when the stock has "matured" a bit perhaps.

Good luck.

Whenever I started to hear "I should have buy more" or "I want to buy more now" or "What good stock to buy?", I know exciting time, yet again, has come to the stock market. Everyone yearn for it. It has been relatively uneventful period for the past one year for the stock market. Now is certainly a refreshing period. How long will it last this time? Nobody will know but why not we welcome it while it lasts. I am not suggesting we must pour everything we have into the stock market but rather we must invest sensibly.

Quite often during this period of time, people will start to ask "What stock can I invest?" Sometime I rather not to answer but trying to be polite, I just said "put some money that doesn't cause an arm or a leg if anything happened". Because I knew based on their demeanour, they already have decided to buy with or without my opinion. They just need someone there to reinforce whatever they intend to do soon or maybe already had did it. 3 most possible scenarios of their current situations will be when asked further:-

1) He or she has not invested anything prior to this or invested in some stocks. My question will be - what make you think you are really investing and not trading this time around and why now when the market is hot and not say 6 months ago when the market is cool?My humble answer is you are probably attracted by the easy money from the hot market. You will get out as soon as you get in. Therefore, you have to be careful dabble with stock market.

2) He or she has invested in some stock but the price not yet move and wanted to top up the same stock. My question will be - is the company still fundamentally good as the first time you bought it?
If yes, my humble answer is no harm to top up.

3) He or she has invested in some stock that price has moved up and wanted to top up the same stock instead of dispose it.My question will be - have you satisfied with the profit and has achieved what you have targeted during your first buy?If yes, my humble answer is take the profit and enjoy the fruit of your investment. Then take your time to hunt for next stock investment. Be disciplined and steadfast to your goal is the key to sustainable stock investment mindset. It doesn't matter if the stock price keeps climbing after you have disposed it. You have make your profit, and let someone makes theirs.

If no, my humble answer is no harm top up units of the same stock. The quantum is a matter of your personal risk tolerance. As for my recent case, I have topped-up 25% units when the price has increased 40%. The reason for doing this is pure mathematics to plan my top up arrangement rather than based on emotion. Bear in mind, this arrangement might not work for you if your current stock holding is less than 10,000 units. By stating 40% figure doesn't mean I have set my exit price. Certainly not. My exit price is a function of the company financial performance in future, it means as long as the company grows, my exit price grows in tandem, it means my exit price is dynamic, it means it is a long term investment.

Whatever it is, the bottom line always is we must make money from stock investment. Doesn't matter how much you have made, as long as you are happy after selling, and that matters. Doesn't matter your next friend makes more profit than you, as long as you know you have made the right stock choice and it had given you that profit, and that matters.

By the way, many had asked why I did not talk about JAKS. Well, i think recent events had already attracted so much attention. Nothing more need to talk about, really. You can make your own judgement. To buy or to sell or to stay, only give us the same outcome - that is we will still glue to the computer screen for some time now.

Good luck.

My 2016 stock selection did not performance as expected. Nevertheless, at RM1.48, it still give us a 22% gain since December 2015. I wish those who received my report on JAKS are still holding on to the stock until now. Please accept my apology for the "slow" performance of this stock. I was wrong. I would like to think last one year could bring better price action in this stock price but it did not as anticipated.

If you have indeed keep the stock until now, not only you have gained a 22% in capital but more importantly you have gained the wisdom of patience in the game of long term stock investment and that's more important than a 22% gain.

How about this year 2017? I have one stock recommendation for 2017. Actually, I was a bit shy when JAKS stock did not performance as what I would have expected. Because of this, I was a bit reluctant to make new recommendation for year 2017 back in January. Maybe it is time now to share my 2017 stock recommendation but there is a caveat - the stock has climbed 33% since the first batch of my purchase in September 2016.

For those who have contributed to my grandson's education fund previously, I wish you could be kind enough to continue to do so this time around. As a token of appreciation, a report on this new stock will be provided, similar to the report on JAKS. If you are not keen, well, no problem.

Nevertheless, here you are, RCECAP is the one stock that I have invested for this year.

Yes. I was away from this blog for 6 months. After my last post, I told myself I should leave my share market thought for awhile. If not, it is against what I have been telling people that stock market is for long term. Talking about stock market every now and then is no different playing into stock market everyday. Emotion tends to creep in to cloud our judgment. We should look at stock market once in awhile, make our stock investment and leave it as it is. Come back after some time and certainly not every day or week. Some advocate 3 months. But I think 6 months is still reasonable. If you are one hardcore long term stock investor, 3 months or 6 months or even 1 year is nothing. This is because if you have been buying good stock, the feeling should be like - after 1 year, when you open your fixed deposit account and you know very well your fixed deposit values will definitely increase and not decrease. In stock market is the same. Of course I am not talking about just 3% increase like what fixed deposit interest rates would give you. We should aim higher. But then even if you can get 20% increase in stock values after 1 year is pretty decent.

The last 6 months has not been easy for stock market. I think everyone knows the reasons. This is just part and parcel of stock market risks. If your stock price has dropped, don't worry too much. Anything goes down will come up again.

Admittedly, the stock I recommended last December has not been doing well for the last nine months. Well, I recalled the same goes to Gadang, a stock selection of mine last year. Give it some time, and now look at its price. It has already increased by 100% since Here in February 2015 and Here in November 2015, and I threw a challenge Here in December 2015 to my associates.

Actually, my absence for the last few months was also partly due to health scare. But my doctors had since gave me a clean bill of health some 2 weeks ago. I am slowing adjust back to my usual routine.

From a ACE stock to full fledged main board stock, it is certainly has come a long way. Recently the company has done another right thing - reward its shareholders with its maiden dividend.

For those who just come to know this stock recently will thought this is just another temporary hype that will fade away just as fast as it came. But the thing is, I enjoy this kind of feeling. It's nice feeling even though it is once in awhile. It's all boiled down to the fact that I know this company has been doing all the right things in managing the company on the back of solid business model. Recap. My first taste with this stock was some time back in mid 2013 when I first purchase the first tranche of shares at RM0.55. Here. And I first talked about this stock here in March 2014. Here. This stock had went through a bonus issue and right-with-attached-free-warrant issue corporate exercise since then. Consider the price adjustment for these two corporate exercises, the total portfolio value based on current price has actually tripled as compare to the price at the time of my first tranche of shares was made (There was also private placement exercise for selected investors along the way. Imagine the profit these investors had made). No doubt it took two and three-quarter years to achieve this result. I believe many people don't mind though. That is why it is called long term investment. On top of that, I don't have any worry investing my money into this kind of stock and I have good night sleep every night. I don't know about you but that's very important to me. Furthermore, dividend has started to flow in. Investing in stock market supposes to be a healthy endeavour experience and not a stressful mental workout.

Good luck.

Its price closed at RM0.835 on 18.03.2016

To buy or not to buy

Or rather to invest or not to invest.

I believe most people have this predicament when comes to invest their money into stock market or into any particular stock for that matter. Sometime we asked this question to someone, sometime we asked this question to ourself silently and in more extreme situation, we asked someone upstairs for guidance. There are many reasons why this question is asked.

Why is it so. If one has done their homework, had done the homework on the financial numbers, had researched the company profile, their businesses, and even analysts have also given their outperform outlook, then why are we still asking this basic question - to buy or not to buy.

What are we really waiting for?

There seemed to be few reasons and some are rather perplexing. For example, I have a friend who do not buy or invest any stock even after he had done all the necessary homework. In the end, he bought a totally different stock altogether. When i asked him why. His answer was "I was about to buy but last minute my friend said this company cannot invest. My friend said this company has this and that problems. So better don't buy". "So what about your time doing all those researched", I asked further. "I was scare when my friend told me that", was the reply.

Another reason i noticed is there are too much information and this overload ourself. Wealth of analyst's reports, financial data, company information, gossip and whatnot and this make us confused on which stock to invest. Not that the stocks are not good but it is simply too many of them. Most people have limited fund to invest and this make us want to get the ONE stock that could give us the fastest capital returns in shortest possible time. And i see this as major hindrance to train ourself to survive in stock market in the long run. Many do not realize they actually end up as stock trader instead of stock investor.

When one decides to invest their money into stock market, the first question to ask is not "to buy or not to buy". Never. It is also not the question of "is time to buy now or not". Don't. The one question should ask yourself is "can I buy or cannot buy".

Can or cannot is related to capability to do something. Therefore, can buy or cannot buy is related to whether one could afford to do it. But be careful too. Can afford to do it now doesn't mean one can afford the same in the future. For example, one may afford to buy a car now but does mean one could afford to continue to own it in the future.

Once the question of afford(ability) is settled, then lets talk about objective. The objective must be about long term investment. If the objection is about quick bite and run, what you just read is irrelevant.

Many people asked me this question of "is it time now to buy". I have very simple answer if I asked myself this question. But my answer to myself might not be acceptable to the next people simply because of the above question has not been settled just yet.

If one has 100k to invest doesn't mean one could afford to invest in stock market because, first, the mindset is different which, in turn affect your objective. Second, could you afford the same, say, a year or two from now. Put it another way. If one has 100k to invest but needs the money to do something else in a year time. One could afford to invest the money now but when needs the money later, he or she may not able to get out in time. Worry will start to set in. The mindset will be clouded with uncertainty. One will be worried that the stock might not go up. Worst still if the stock went down then he or she is force to sell at a loss when the money is needed for something else.

But if the 100k is without any foreseeable plan to use, I believe the mindset is very much different. Time factor to get out from the stock market is not there to force you to make critical decision.

But how many people have the luxury of 100k sitting idling in bank or under the pillow waiting to invest in stock. Never mind. What you need is a correct mindset to start with. It works the same even you have only 5k. Once you have the correct mindset, you wouldn't worry too much of the current fluctuation of price because it is just emotional play caused by market players. And you wouldn't worry too much of the company itself because the company is as solid as hardrock. Ofcourse you must have done your homework well enough. Therefore, if affordability issue is settled, mindset is clear, company is solid, then it is THE time that will help you achieve your objective. And the time i am talking here is long term.

Late last year, stock market brought back some shine to many people. Many stocks hit new high. This brought back many retail players into the market. Then not long after that, in January, the market was badly shaken. In fact, many economists have predicted the economy of the country will not be doing well long before 2016 greets us. Yes. Many economists predicted that. And on the same backdrop, many stock market experts too predicted the stock market won't be doing well in coming months. There were many whispers predicting December 2015 was going to be last window dressing exercise to help prop up some stock prices before headwinds going to hit us in 2016. On the other hand, in the midst of these headwinds, some analysts predicted which sector of stocks to invest in to reap maximum profits. Some go as far as to use fengshui to help reinforce that prediction. Some use technical analysis to predict the behaviour of stock price. So you see.

Everyone and anyone is trying to predict what will happen to the stock market in the coming days or months. Everyone and anyone who buys stocks is based on his or her prediction that stock will perform. With the onslaught of some many predictions, our hands are so full that we don't know which one prediction is more accurate than the next one. Many people failed in stock market because they use the wrong prediction based on the wrong reasons and from the wrong sources at the wrong time.

If one predicts December 2015 is going to be window dressing exercise, one would have high tendency to buy in Nov and sell when price is up in Dec. This kind of prediction might be true but it is wrong reason to buy stocks.

But if one chooses the prediction of foreign funds might be coming back because of MYR currency is so weakened now that it is cheap for them to come back to our shore, one might consider to higher the bet based on this prediction.

That brings me back to the stock that I fall in love this year. I believed in the prediction that the company will do well based on the information I received and trusted with good reasons. But it is still a prediction on that of its stock price performance. No more no less.

"I’m trying really hard to show my children that sickness and things happen in life. You cannot be crying and be depressed and consistently talk about, ‘Oh my God,’" Dion, 47, told during her return to the stage. "René-Charles is going to be 15 years old soon. He’s a wonderful young man. He’s entered his teenage years, and sometimes we can go really crazy, for some teenagers, but so far so good. I have tremendous respect for my oldest, René-Charles, because he’s showing strength to see his dad this way because he’s been his anchor. When he was younger he knew his dad was older but they bonded a lot. I’m sure it's hard for him."

I wrote about this exactly 2 years ago. here.

That was in 2013. At that time, things were still pretty good in property industry and fully aware that year 2014 and 2015 will be hard hit on property industry. But i made an estimation that property industry will improve and getting better in year 2016. And now, here we are, year 2015 has ended. We are now saying hello to year 2016.

Unlike the previous years, I could feel subdue mood all rounds whenever I met with people not only in property industry but in other industries as well. There is something everyone feels not right but yet cannot do much about it. But we have to move on and look forward.

2 years on and now year 2016. My property investment in Setia Eco Glades will be coming on stream early this year. I wish I will be only getting the keys by end of 2016. But no. With developer is emphasising on efficiency in delivery of houses, keys are expected to be delivered ahead of schedule in first quarter of 2016 ! Anyway, I am not worry at all. Landed property is and will always is a safer bet for property investment.

My recent visit to view the almost-complete product is breathtaking, to say the least. Nice environment, waterway streaming near the backyard, butterflies beautifully flying around as though welcoming you to their new sanctuary and most important is the quiet and tranquillising environment.

I wish I could move there. But no. Moving is out of question. Too old for that. I am too rooted at my current place, just like i am too rooted to this country that any country that I went I still feel the belonging to this country.

Today, one of my fund managers called to say hello as he usually does when certain stock hits new high. Sometime I feel like he is a alarm clock to me. Very updated. Very good of him. Being a businessman he is, he asked whether I have any plan to liquidate any stock that is sitting on huge paper gains.

I received the following question from Vincent recently.

Hi Unclez, I have been following your blog for quite a long time, and I am impressed with your long term value investment. I have bought Presbhd before Bonus Issue and I sold it during last year December sell down in the view that the earning was reducing and PE was quite high as well. I then told myself to buy back when the price back to the reasonable PE, which might be around 20. But since then the price has gone up until now PE around 90. I missed the boat along the road, or perhaps I should not sell at first place. Can you enlighten me what strategy should be implemented when we are seeing high PE stock, why some stocks already traded at high PE still can go up, whereas some like Gadang before went up recently has Low PE last time but the share price didn't move much. I believe both Presbhd and Gadang have bright future growth, and I can categories Gadang was undervalued share with Low PE. But how about Presbhd and Dsonic? Hope to hear from you and appreciate your views very much as I am still learning in stock market. Thank you.

What attracted me is the question of PE. Many people had asked me this similar question and they are looking for a sensible answer. PE is a ratio number. Simply, price of stock divides by earnings per share. The P, we usually take current price while the E, we take last year full year earnings. That lies the problem. PE ratio become "history" number. Thus, it is not a very good yardstick to determine whether a particular stock is pricey or otherwise. I prefer to use prospective PE, meaning base on future earnings rather than last year earnings. And that is the challenge. Everyone can have last year earning numbers but no one can be 100% sure of further earning numbers. So how. you may ask? Well, let's put it this way. Stock market is not a fair game. The person who makes the most money is the one who knows the pulse of the company. Sadly, ordinary retail players have this disadvantage. They mostly rely on analyst's report.

My friend, a chief fund manager, had described the characteristic of PE in a more academic but plain way. He said if the earnings of a stock is expected to improve next year, for example, the market would have priced this in and hence, the stock would starts to run. But since the earnings of the stock has yet to be delivered, naturally the P component of the PE ratio would rise first, making the PE number high. Subsequently, when the earnings are really delivered, the E component goes up, thus reducing the PE valuation. However, and this is the most important part, if there is another round of earnings growth, the P goes up again, raising valuations. UncleZ always looking out for this "another round of earnings growth" with the help of knowing the pulse of the company.

PEs are about long term averages and made up of extreme highs and lows. Low PE stock does not guarantee for good price action but does give certain comfort level than high PE stock. Stock market works in mysterious way. To be successful in stock market, PE is just one of the tool to use but not and cannot be the only tool to use to decide your investment action.

Anyway, you had sold stocks and made profits, that is good and fine. Atleast you have won the market, not losing to it. And that's the goal. What you have missed out is probably the question of big win or small win. But it is still a win. Well done.

So, Vincent, I hope this enlighten you.

Good luck.

I have the privilege to be invited to accompany an entourage to a fast growing ASEAN country of 3 times bigger its population than Malaysia. It has vast land and huge human head counts. For the seasoned businessman, he will see there is huge business opportunities to grab. This country needs technology and financial muscles from outsiders to bring up its economy and social development. The government is doing what they can and could afford by easing or relaxing many of the rules. One company that has benefited from this open policy by the government and that was where I had the opportunity to join this trip to the country to see myself first hand how things are doing.

Of course going there without a punt or two at their golf course will not complete the trip, be it for leisure or business trip. It is on the golf course that conversations are more relax and candid. The conversation with one of the entourage member, which happened to be a strategic fund manager, went something like below.

A : How is thing went on so far?

Z : On stock portfolio front, very good. On personal health front, not so good. Doctor advised me to take extra caution on my diet and exercise more. When one getting older, this is to be expected.

A : Don't worry Z. Come here more often. Nice golf course, nice food and so many more.

Z : Yes. At least get away from the daily dose of politics that are happening in kl. Benefit no people except politicians. You see. Not every singly day goes by without mentioning about politic.

A : Agree. You just mentioned this very moment too.

Z : Ahh yes. I did. Just cut the crap of politic and talk about.... golf game.

A : He finally managed to pull this deal through.

Z : Yes. If not, we won't be here sitting and enjoying this view.

A: Will you ride on this company stock?

Z: Yes. This is will be my first for year 2016's stock selection. Just like Gadang is for year 2015.

A: That is telling. I will take up your recommendation.

Z: I know you already make up your mind the moment you join this trip.

A: You are right. Talk about Gadang. 2.10 last Friday right? We have a good buy on this. Over 30 percent since you told me early of this year.

Z: Did I tell you specifically?

A: Not directly. Remember we were having breakfast with the bunch of us together with your teenage grandson. Your stock-wise grandson. He was so young and yet his knows of all these technical jargons.

Z: Yes. I think I remember. Yes. One by one contract is now surfacing. For your fund, I believe 30% is a good number for you to boast to your unit holders.

A: And that thanks to you, Z.

I am working on a project partly to help my teenage grandson to have a good footing in this real world. All this while he has been helping me to cut, paste, write, extract newspaper cutting, typing and whatnot and help me to run it on this blogspot. There were time I did it myself but it is taxing for an old person like me. So, most of the time he helps me to tidy up the loose ends especially on the computing part. I am a person believe in no free lunch. People will value the things more when they themselves paid for it. It is not that I need it but atleast people will not take things for granted. The proceeds will go to him as a token of his hardwork and also for helping me to run this blog. I will update you via email on a specific stock to invest for long term with a brief write-up. Just USD10. If that stock did not perform within a year, I will refund in full together with an apology. The Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates on today Wednesday 3.00pm NY Time [Thursday 3.00am Malaysian Time], exactly seven years after the central bank cut them to almost zero in response to the deepest recession in the post-World War II era. As this unprecedented era of easy monetary policy closes, here's a walk through seven years at zero to highlight the obstacles that policy makers navigated to restore labour-market health and enable liftoff.

Fed officials lowered the federal funds rate into a 0 to 0.25 percent range in December 2008 as the nation's economic state deteriorated and the collapse of Lehman Brothers sent shock-waves through global financial markets. The Fed "will employ all available tools to promote the resumption of sustainable economic growth and to preserve price stability," officials said in their post-meeting statement.

2. Unemployment Peaks - October 2009

By 2009, the Fed was staring down a different kind of crisis: one of joblessness. America hemorrhaged an average of 424,000 jobs a month that year, and by October unemployment had reached 10 percent, its highest level since 1983. The broader underemployment index was even higher at 17.1 percent.

3. Easy the World Over - 2010

By 2010, reverberations from the financial crisis were being felt around the world and central bankers were striving to mitigate the fallout. The Bank of England cut rates to 50 basis points in March 2009, where they've remained ever since, having descended from 5.75 percent in late 2007. The European Central Bank slashed its deposit facility rate to 25 basis points (it would go on to raise that rate in 2011 only to cut it again later that year). The Bank of Japan cut interest rates for the first time in seven years in 2008, among other measures. Even bigger Japanese policy changes would come in 2013 in the form of an explicit 2 percent inflation target and open-ended monetary easing commitment.

Monetary policy easing abroad aids the U.S. by supporting global growth, but lower interest rates overseas can also encourage capital to flow into higher-yielding U.S. assets, pushing up the dollar and hurting U.S. exports by making them more expensive.

4. Debt Ceiling Debacle - July 2011

Several times during the Fed's expansionary era, fiscal policy — or fiscal inaction — has gotten in the way of the recovery. Congressional lawmakers in July 2011 allowed the nation to tiptoe to the brink of default on debt that it had already incurred by failing to agree on a higher borrowing cap for the nation. Congress ultimately came to a deal. But the spectacle shook confidence and Standard & Poor's downgraded the U.S. credit rating, dealing a blow to the stock market and probably hurting growth. Cuts to government spending that followed added to the economic headwinds.

5. Taper Tantrum - Summer 2013

In May 2013, then-Chairman Ben Bernanke testified to Congress that the Fed could start slowing the pace of its bond purchases later in the year, conditional on continuing good economic news. Markets went haywire at the prospect of less stimulus, with the yield on 10-year Treasury note shooting up as investors fled to safety.

6. Dollar Ascends - Summer 2014

The greenback, which has strengthened by around 21 percent since mid-2014, has become a focal point for Fed officials as liftoff approaches. Weak growth and easy monetary policies abroad are pushing money into dollar-denominated debt, and when the U.S. lifts rates that could intensify pressure on the currency to appreciate. Even if that risk doesn't stop the Fed from raising rates, currency strength will likely cause policy makers to take their time in tightening. The dollar is one factor that "means that monetary policy for the U.S. is more likely to follow a gradual path," Chair Janet Yellen told a congressional committee on Dec. 3

7. Yuan Devaluation - August 2015

U.S. officials have had to contend with a series of international developments over the past seven years, including China's surprise yuan devaluation in August. The world's second-largest economy allowed its currency to fall as its growth slackened, roiling global markets and inflicting massive losses on domestic stock prices. The decision and its fallout was seen by many as the grounds for the Fed's decision to delay liftoff in September.

8. Slow Recovery

One more reason why the Fed has held rates near zero for seven years: growth just hasn't been very good. The U.S. suffered a deep contraction that wasn't matched by a robust rebound, and credit standards remained tight throughout — hindering the transmission of easy money to the real economy. The tepid pace of growth, while better than the outright recessions experienced in Europe and Japan during the last seven years, meant it took a lot longer to recover what the U.S. had lost in the crisis.

The above is one interest piece of analyst that reminds us why and where all these things started. We will know this morning 3.00am Malaysian Time whether the much waited news of interest rate hike will happen. And not to miss is the subsequent press conference by Janet Yellen at 3.30am.

RM1.403 billion market capitalization on the back of 484 million no. of shares issued. Yes. Presbhd is a billion-ringgit company. No small fly anymore.

Recalling my earlier post on 11.06.2014, here, the company's CEO had laid out his ambition to have his company's capitalization reaches RM1.5 billion in 2017. Can he achieves that? Let's wait and see, if you have the patience of course.

Some historical facts

On 30.04.2014, one and half year ago, the company declared 1 to 1 bonus issue and price changed from RM3.95 to RM1.99 upon ex-date. Since then, its price went roller coaster and at one point dipped to RM1.31 low for a brief period. Now, the price back to its full steam. Hitting new high RM2.96 on 09.12.2015. I dare to say very little people will ride on this stock for so long. If you have, you have make a lot of money.

It is a good experience for those who have been patient and truly subscribe to the notion of long term investment. If you have been with me with this stock, I think by now you understand it is no so much of just earning the extra few cents each time the stock price hits new high but it is the discipline that you have developed to stay on course and not sway away unnecessary by the sentiments in the market place. If you are for earning for the extra few cents, you might survive this round but there is no guarantee you will survive the next storm. Investing in stock market is about long term survival when most people are knocked out halfway through. Presbhd is one example and it is a good example and making huge profit on top of it.

One may argue it takes a person with steel heart to do nothing but holding stocks when the entire market was affected by political turbulence not too long ago. Well, if it is not due to politic, it will be something else. As long as there is no serious catastrophe like 9/11, political turbulence is just part and parcel of stock market risk and you have to know how to manage it.

It has been exactly one year since ah Boy holding this stock. He is really happy with his first stock investment. Rightly so. His initial investment capital of only RM10,000 does not account much but the patience and wisdom that he learned goes a long way. Yes. The last time this title was carried was on 06.07.2014 when its price hit new high close at RM2.16. Today, just like any stock after experienced few roller coaster rides, again its price hit another all-time high close at RM2.48. Those who have invested thus long will feel the sentiment behind this new-high events story. If you are newcomer to this story, you would probably think it is just another story of lucky stock that managed to record new high. But no. This new high is unprecedented. Many stocks have yet to recover from the mayday that happened to the stock market during last year Q4 period. Presbhd not only breaks new barrier but against all odds when technical indicator pointing at different direction.

My associate called me to ask what is my take on today new high record and asked the usual question like many will ask - why going higher and higher without any news flow? My reply is a simple one liner - look beyond the technical indicator but look within the core of the company. And subsequent question is - can buy now? My immediate response was - Not for you because you have doubt when i told you in January this year. There is no reason your doubt has cleared just because the price has shoot up. Investment decision is made based on confidence in the company and not based on price movement. But it is different story if it is about trading decision. And I don't advocate trading in stock.

I repeat again. Stock trading is not suitable for retail player. If you know the real inside working of stock trading by the big brothers, then you will know what I mean. Learn long term survival in stock market is the way to go for retail player or shall I say, retail investor.
